CAPABLE Training

Care Partner Support Specialist

CAPABLE training is self-paced,
online learning modules and simulations.
TRAINING OVERVIEW

The online training includes two modules for the CAPABLE Support Specialist (CPSS). The first introduces the background of the CAPABLE intervention. The second module focuses on the role of the CPSS and how they can support the care partner in a person-centered approach that benefits them as well as the CAPABLE participant. Assessments and tools designed for these purposes will be explained. The case study example will aid in integrating the learning. We encourage this role to be filled by a social worker who will foster good communication with other CAPABLE team members. The training is taught by JHU professors, consultants, and clinicians.
